  My Inca Trail Charity Challenge!!

                                IMG_0519.JPG

Hello and thank-you for taking the time to look at my website.  My name is Roxanne Richards and on April 2nd 2007, I am going to trek the Inca Trail in Peru to the famous Machu Picchu the lost city of the Incas.  The reason why?  To raise money for a very worthwhile charity called 'Whizz-kidz' http://www.whizz-kidz.org.uk  The movement for non-mobile children, registered charity no. 802872.

Whizz-kidz aim is to help disabled children achieve independence by giving them the gift of mobility.  By providing them with customised mobility equipment, training and advice.  Giving a disabled child the chance to go and play with friends, go to mainstream schools and take part in sport.  Often for the first time they can enjoy being themselves without the hinderence of a disability.

The average cost of providing customised mobility equipment to change a child's life is £5,900.  Whizz-kidz have already helped change the lives of over 4,000 disabled children since 1990, but there are still over 70,000 children in the UK who need their help.

So on behalf of Whizz-kidz I am asking for your help.  Please dig deep and give whatever you can, to help me raise as much sponsorship as possible to help give those children the support they deserve.

There are lots of ways in which you can help me achive my minimum target of £2,650.  I have a charity auction homepage on Ebay, selling a variety of items with all proceeds going to Whizz-kidz http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Roxannes-Trek-4-Charity-Shop

Handmade Peruvian friendship bracelets, for sale in my Ebay shop

I also plan to attend local events with a variety of fundraising ideas, keep visiting my site to check updates in 'Announcements' for details.  You can also donate via  https://www.bmycharity.com/V2/roxannerichards  anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated.

This next year will be a personal challenge as well as a financial and physical one.  Anyone who knows me will agree I get out of breath running for the bus, so I will need to work hard to increase my fitness before the trek!  I am also a second year nursing student, taking on this challenge alongside my studies.  So please help me to raise money for this worthy charity and allow them to continue to help disabled children in need.  Thank you for your time!
